Recently, a total of 12 brand agricultural products in Hunan Province made the list of the first batch of “China’s agricultural products”.
Fenghuang tartary buckwheat, Yongshun vine tea and Songbai rice in Xiangxi Prefecture were on the list, with the most products selected in the province.
Fenghuang County has made the best of its land to develop the model of “tartary buckwheat plus” other industries, and formed a development path of integrating the primary, secondary and tertiary industries. The annual output value of buckwheat industrial chain is about 200 million yuan.
Yongshun County has drunk vine tea for more than 1,000 years, and was approved as the hometown of ancient vine tea in China. Yongshun vine tea was listed as both medicine and food by the National Health Commission, and is a national GI product.
Today, Yongshun vine tea has a planting area of 110,000 mu (about 7,333 hectares), and 44 vine tea demonstration parks have been developed with an annual output of 2,200 tons.
